In recent years, the use of computers and internet has risen. Now computers are an integral & indispensable part of any professional, commercial and industrial activity.


The development of information technology continues to give rise to novel and complex legal problems related to the use of internet and computers. To ensure the appropriate and lawful use of technology, it is necessary to have certain rules and regulations. Rules and regulations that govern the transactions carried out with the use of computers and internet comprise Cyber Laws. It is also referred to as information and communications technology law and covers electronic commerce, electronic governance, intellectual property, data protection and privacy, telecommunications, cybercrimes.

PGCCL program is AICTE approved.


  • Bachelor's degree holder / Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
  • International / SAARC Graduate from a recognised /
    accredited University /Institution.
  • Students who have appeared for final year of examination of their bachelor's degree program and are awaiting results can also apply, subject to successfully completing their bachelor's degree program / graduation within the time period specified by SCDL.

Note: Students in their 4/5 year of the five years law course,
may apply, subject to successful completion of previous 3 years of law course.

 


  • The duration of the program is one year.
  • The registration period is valid for one & half academic years.

The program will help practicing lawyers and those working in IT companies to update their knowledge of Cyber Laws.

Application Form Fee
The application form fee for applicants in:
  • General Category: ₹ 1200
  • Defence/Paramilitary/Police Category: ₹ 1200
  • International/SAARC Category: US $ 100
Note: Application fee is non-refundable.

Fee Payment Options

Students have two options to pay the program fees as per below specified timelines.
→ Option 1: One-Time Payment: Pay full program fee in one-time payment, as specified for respective program,
within 30 days from the date of grant of confirmed admission.
→ Option 2: Two-Instalments: Pay full program fee in two-instalments:
  • Pay first instalment within 15 days from the date of grant of confirmed admission.
  • Pay second instalment within 45 days of payment of first Instalment payment or on or before
    the last date to pay full fee, whichever is earlier, as per policy.

Note: Exam fee is not included in program fee. Pay Exam fee separately, per paper per attempt. Exam fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. SCDL does not accept any type of fee in cash.
 
Mode of Payments
♦ Online: Students can pay application form fees, program fees and all exam fees online.
♦ Demand Draft: Students can pay fees via Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of  

   “The Director SCDL, Pune” payable at Pune.
